Words for Gratitude
Genuine thanks land harder than effusive thanks. Use specific words that name what someone did and how it mattered. The most memorable thank-yous are short, concrete, and personal.

Tips
- Name the specific thing the person did. Vague thanks feels obligatory.
- Send the thank-you in private. Public praise can feel performative.
- Don't add to the thank-you. “Thanks — also could you…” undoes the thanks.
